About Us

THE CD ANCHOR STORY

We absolutely love this new adventure and journey that we are on. Danny and I have been in the service industry for over 22 years. Originally from South Africa, but we moved here when I was 18 and Danny 23 years of age. Danny's first job was to work in a small pizza kitchen on the Island that was unbelievably busy every night. I started working as a cocktail waitress, moved up to be a bartender, and from there became a Manager in an Italian restaurant. We are a husband-wife team that was recently joined by my Mother to help out. We started this food truck business because we saw a void that needed to be filled.

Located on several military bases in Key West, is giving the Military personal another option for breakfast and lunch. We started with 1 food truck, and recently got a second one and just signed the contract for the 3rd base.

What started out as an opportunity to make money, turned into something so much more. Getting to know our local Military personnel on a daily basis and learning about their stories and where they have been, has made me and my family so humble, and we have learned to never take anything for granted. Quality Time with family is priceless and giving back to those who put their lives on the line for our safety has become part of our daily way of operating. We always joke and say, if we win the jackpot today and become millionaires and never have to work again, we will still operate our food trucks just to serve those who serve us.

We absolutely love our jobs and the people we work with. Dannyelle, our 6-year-old daughter goes on deliveries with me and people love it!! She makes more money than I do sometimes, LOL.
We pray that the business keeps growing so that we can do our part to give back to those that keep us safe!

All in all, we are a very small business with very big dreams!!
